I met Prince Jamir at one of Richard Vindaloo’s Little Funny Shows. After vibing for a bit, he started coming through to my studio space. I have wanted to work on a project like this for a little while, where I get a singer in who can just throw down on the mic and we keep the takes raw (read: no autotune). So we got down to business quickly and Jamir freestyled over 10 of Primo’s most famous beats.

When we finished, the project made its way to Kool DJ Red Alert’s ears (one of the DJs who originally put Primo on in NY) and he blessed us with recording the intro. After all of the mixes were ready, I took them over to J.J. Brown and Dan D at 5G Studios and they cut the tracks together into mixtape format. Shortly thereafter, we stopped by East Village Radio to put it down and freestyled our hearts out!
